Dr. Dona specializes in Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Perinatal Psychiatry. She sees a wide variety of patients with numerous conditions and concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and mood disorders but has special interest in working with children and adolescents, LGBTQ populations, those struggling with autism and/or ADHD, and the perinatal mother. Dr. Dona is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C®) with specific training in the PMH-C® Psychopharmacology Track, specifically trained to provide treatment to mothers with perinatal mood disorders prevalent during pregnancy and postpartum. She also offers Genesight testing, which is a simple cheek swab genetic test that can provide insight into how patients metabolize and respond to certain commonly prescribed psychiatric medications.

After graduating from Boston University, Dr. Dona completed four years of medical school and then continued her specialization in psychiatry. She completed three years of general psychiatry residency training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA and two years of child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she served as both chief resident and chief fellow, respectively. She has extensive experience in emergency rooms, hospitals, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial hospital programs, and outpatient programs. ​She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and was an American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Systems of Care Award Winner (2020) and University of the East Young Alumnae Research Grant Award Winner (2020).

Dr. Dona grew up as a first-generation Filipino American with limited financial resources. Her goal is to expand care to everyone, including the underserved. She offers patient-centered, individualized, culturally-competent care to patients of all ages, races, and backgrounds. When Dr. Dona is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She is an avid reader, piano player, loves running and going to the beach. She is originally from the Northeast but is enjoying the beautiful weather that Florida has been able to provide year round.
