Dr. DenBoer is generalist trained, servicing individuals of all ages, but specializes in the psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment/intervention of children, adolescents, and young adults. She is well-known in the community for her comprehensive psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental evaluations, as she has extensive training and expertise in assessing and diagnosing dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. Dr. DenBoer specializes in providing neurodiversity-affirming young adult autism evaluations. She has been practicing in the Southwest Florida area for nearly 10 years and is affiliated with the Lee Health hospital organization, servicing Gulf Coast, Health Park, Lee Memorial, and Cape Coral hospitals. She is a member of numerous county, state, and national professional associations.

Dr. DenBoer was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at The State University of New York – Brockport and her graduate degree at Nova Southeastern University. During her doctoral externship, she trained at The University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-CARD). She completed her final predoctoral training through the The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial’s Behavioral Health Hospital.

In her spare time, Dr. DenBoer enjoys spending time with her husband and children. While she appreciates the warmth and sun that Florida offers, she also enjoys traveling to New York and Michigan to visit with family.

Dr. DenBoer is licensed in Florida and can also provide telehealth/virtual services to patients located in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, through The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®).
