Licensed School Psychologist

Ms. Woods has specialized training in school-related assessment and educational intervention for ages 3-18 years. She has worked in a variety of public and private school systems servicing elementary, middle, and high school students. She specializes in working with children ages 8-13. Ms. Woods takes great care in conducting comprehensive neurodevelopment and psychoeducational evaluations for giftedness, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral and developmental disorders. In therapy, she works with children with identified emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. She offers therapeutic services using a variety of techniques including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to improve self-regulation and social skills. Ms. Woods also enjoys collaborating with parents and teachers to ensure the student is successful across all settings.

Ms. Woods was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University in Ohio, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. She worked as a Supportive Counselor at a therapeutic group home before obtaining her graduate degrees from Marshall University, which included a Master of Arts in Psychology and an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology. For the last eight years, Ms. Woods has been employed as a school psychologist in Ohio and Florida and remains an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

In her free time, Ms. Woods enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
